 Individual Counseling

I work with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, sexual struggles (including desire discrepancy dismantling purity culture, and infidelity), trauma, and self-esteem struggles. Have you ever felt like you will never be happy in your own skin? I also work with people who struggle with generalized anxiety, depression, or just need someone to talk to. Schedule an individual session and we will get to work.
Individual sessions generally last 50 minutes and are weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on individual need.

Couples Counseling

Are your body issues, sexual struggles, trauma history, and/or eating disorder impacting your relationships? They often do.
Do you wish your spouse, partner or significant other knew how to support you better? Or are you the loved one of someone that you feel struggles with these issues and you want to know how to help? Are your body image issues impacting your sex life? Do you fight about sex and wish you could just not? Schedule a couples session today and we will work to process these issues together.

Couples sessions are 90 minutes and are weekly, bi- weekly, or monthly depending on the couple’s needs.

Professional Consultation/License Supervision

Are you a professional working with clients and patients and struggling to know how to help them with their eating disorder, disordered eating or body image concerns? Are you working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and need a clinical supervisor to accrue hours? If so, I offer professional consulatation and case consultation for other professionals. I am also an approved supervisor for the Texas LMFT Board and approved consultant for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. If you are a medical provider or counselor who just has some questions or needs direction in working with this population, this is one of my favorite things to do!

 Family Counseling

Family counseling is where I really get passionate! No one person exists outside of a family system and everything that we do impacts that system. Is your family desperately struggling to support someone with an eating disorder? Do you feel like your family life is revolving around an eating disorder? We can work through this. My goal is to use every family’s natural strengths to help equip them to deal with whatever issues they are facing. I do not look for fault or play the blame game and I operate from the perspective that everyone is doing their very best!

Family sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on each family’s unique needs.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic technique that can help clients heal from old wounds, trauma, body image concerns, and constant negative self talk. This powerful therapy technique can work much faster than traditional talk therapy.

I offer EMDR therapy in several formats. You can schedule an hourly time spot for EMDR or you can schedule an EMDR “intensive” where we meet for a 3-4 hour block and use this time to process through your trauma history. Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy usually sounds really fascinating or really scary to people (or both!). People often wonder- what does a sex therapist do? Sex therapy is a place to process any and all of your questions and struggles around sex, sexuality, gender identity and much more. What this looks like in practice is sitting down with a clinician who has training in these areas (Hi! That’s me!) and answering questions about your experience. What this doesn’t entail is being judged, shamed, or even made to do things that are outside of your comfort zone. I often work with people who have sexual pain disorders (spoiler sex doesn’t have to be painful!) or struggles, couples experiencing desire discrepancy, people walking away from harmful purity culture, folks working out the nuances of ethical non monogamy, gender and sexuality questions, and much more!
